The Marion Area Fire Department is a volunteer fire department that proudly serves the City of Marion, Village of Big Falls, along with the townships of Dupont and Larrabee. MAFD is staffed by 34 personnel with 10 personnel being cross credentialed in EMS, and also 6 personnel who are EMS only.  In 2025, MAFD responded to a total of 72 incidents.  MAFD utilizes 8 apparatus including 1 Command/Utility Truck, 3 Engines, 2 Tenders, 1 Brush Truck and 1 UTV.

The Marion Area Fire Department is a proud member of Wisconsin MABAS Division 142 and utilizes resources from neighboring agencies as needed along with providing mutual aid for other agencies in Waupaca and Shawano Counties.  MAFD works jointly with area EMS organizations on incidents within jurisdiction including Clintonville Area Ambulance, Marion Area First Responders, and Northwest First Responders.
