The Marion Area Fire Department is a volunteer department ranging from 20-25 members who meet and train every second Wednesday of the month at the fire hall.  The department consists of a Chief and Officers as well as a President and Officers for meetings.  Within the department, there is the Marion Fire Department Association which aids in fundraising for equipment.

The coverage areas for the Marion Area Fire Department is made up of the City of Marion, Village of Big Falls, and Townships of Dupont, Larrabee and Wyoming.  They also assist surrounding departments with mutual aid calls with either fire or search and rescue.

The Marion Area Fire Department prides itself in its quick response times, helping to save both property and lives.
