Public Works

The City of Marion does NOT have leaf collection. There are designated areas for City of Marion residents ONLY to dispose of yard waste, waste oil, metal, brush, and any type of wood at the Municipal Garage located at 615 Sherman Street. All other materials are not allowed to be dumped here.  Violators will be fined.  No contractor disposal is allowed.

 

Waste Oil Bin - located across from Lawn and Garden Waste pile

Lawn and Garden Waste - located at the East side of the City Garage.  Dumped here should be leaves, grass clippings, garden waste, fall cleanup items that do NOT include sticks or branches.  Please read signs.

Branches, Brush, Limbs - located on the East side of the City garage in a large concrete bunker.  Items allowed here are sticks, branches, limbs, Christmas trees, or cuttings from woody shrubs.  Please read signs.

Clean Wood (not painted, stained or treated) - located on the East side of the City garage next to the branch bunker.  Items allowed here are ONLY untreated, unpainted, unstained wood such as pallets, fencing or scrap wood.  Please read signs.

Painted, Stained or Treated Wood - located on the Southeast side of the City garage in a large metal dumpster.  Dumped here should be ONY painted, stained and treated wood.  No glass, plastic, metal, fabric or other materials.  Please read signs.

Metal - located on the South side (behind) the City garage in a large metal dumpster. Dumped here should only be metal and no other materials.
